Becky Myers
COLUMBUS CITY LEAD + OWNER
Becky is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Columbus in 2007 to attend The Ohio State University. During her senior year at OSU, she met her husband, Jordan, and the two married in 2019. They welcomed their first child, Max, in 2021 at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Spending her entire pregnancy in isolation and bringing a newborn into a world still shaped by COVID was far from easy. With both Becky’s and Jordan’s families living outside Columbus—and pandemic restrictions limiting support—they relied heavily on one another during that time.
Becky’s birth experience with Max was traumatic, culminating in an emergency C-section. The emotional aftermath was just as challenging. She experienced significant postpartum anxiety, and Max struggled with colic for the first several months of his life. Seeking help from a range of professionals within the Columbus perinatal community—including a perinatal mental health therapist and pelvic floor physical therapists—Becky slowly began to rebuild her strength, confidence, and support system.
Heading into her second pregnancy, Becky planned for a VBAC but instead faced another emergent situation, resulting in a uterine and bladder rupture. The physical recovery that followed was long and difficult, compounded by the emotional weight of experiencing another traumatic birth with limited hands-on support outside of the team she had already assembled. These two very different yet equally challenging postpartum periods highlighted a painful truth: the standard of care for mothers often falls short. Consistent support, comprehensive education, and a structured postpartum plan are not routinely provided—yet they are desperately needed. Becky learned firsthand that the six-week checkup is not enough.
Because of these experiences, Becky became passionate about ensuring that support, resources, and community are more accessible for all mothers. Columbus has an incredible perinatal network, and she is eager to help strengthen and connect it through Mom League—creating a place where mothers can access the help, education, and community they deserve during one of the most vulnerable transitions of their lives.
