Meet the Advisory Board: Natalie Spencer Gwyn, PhD, LCMHC

~ Meet the Mom League Advisory Board ~
Throughout the year we’ll be introducing our board members — an accomplished group of women and moms who keep us updated on the latest data and trends to help inform our curriculum and programming.

Meet Natalie Spencer Gwyn, PhD, LCMHC. Currently, she is a Core Faculty member at @waldenuniversity in the School of Counseling. Before moving into higher education, Natalie worked as a high school counselor and student assistance counselor (SAP) for many years. She received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from @uncchapelhill . She later earned a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from @ncstate . She is also the author of Mindful Practices for Helping Troubled Teens and the co-author of 15-Minute Focus: Diversity, Bias, and Privilege: Addressing Racial Inequities to Create Inclusive Learning Environments. In addition, she is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina, and she owns a small private practice, Gwyn Counseling and Consulting.

“I am excited to join the Advisory Board and support Mom League and the Triad Community. I am married to my husband Tim and we have three children - Timothy Jr. or TJ, (3) and twins Joshua and Faith (1) .”
